The Paper Pack....

...is the name of our local swap group. November's challenge was to make 6 x 6 recipe cards. This is my submission - can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with! I'm sure they will all be great - they always are!!!

I wanted to try something new on my layout, and let's face it, it needed something. So I stamped the chicken feet and then hand-stitched them. I really like how it turned out - it is something different. Thanks for looking!!!

ATCs....

My youngest daughter (9 years old) loves to craft! She has a couple of buddies that she makes ATCs for. On Sunday, while I was crafting, she decided to craft too! So she made these. The only thing she needs help with is cutting the cardstock to the correct size. You should see the mess that she makes -that's the not-so-fun part!!! Thanks for looking!

Some Christmas Gifts...

I am starting to think about Christmas gifts for teachers and other special people in my children's lives. Awhile back I bought some Nugget Tins from Papertrey Ink. I wrapped tweleve Hershey's Nuggets in coordinating paper and added a belly band and a tag to the Nugget Tin.

Then, I had fun with my flowers (I love flowers). I sprayed some white prima flowers with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist-Gold. I love the soft sparkle this product gives to my projects! I also misted the tag with Glimmer Mist.

For this project I covered a chocolate mint with a "medallion" (for a lack of a better word!) I used my petite scalloped Nestabilities. My images are from the Deer Friends stamp set from Stampin Up! Then, I added some Stickles and made some dots with my white gel pen to add a little somethin'-somethin' ;)

I packaged them in a clear "treat bag" that I picked up from the cake decorating section at our local JoAnn's store. Then I made a bag topper from some funky, sparkly Christmas paper, added some ribbon and a tag and called it done!

Now I just have to get together with a friend (waving "hi") to do some mass production!!!! Thanks for looking!!! .

A Fishy Birthday...

We have a family friend whose birthday is on Saturday - he turns 9! YAY!!!! I wanted to make something special for him - so I made him a Fishy Friends Bank Book! I first saw these on Nichole Heady's Blog "Capture the Moment" and thought they were brilliant -here's the link.

Once I popped up the fish, I wanted to pop up the fin. It didn't look right with the whole fin popped, so I attached one side with double stick tape and adheared a pop dot on the outside edge (does that make sense?) I think that you can see that in the above photo.

I added some Diamond Stickles on some of the scales and dots with my white gel pen on some of the fins and the face. Instead of making a cover like Nichole did, I just decorated a 4 x 4 envelope (you can see that in the above picture.)

The Fishy Friends stamp set (by Stampin' Up) is one of my favorite sets. It is so much fun to color!!!! Thanks for looking!!!

A Brown Bag...

.. a 4-inch brown bag is what I started with! I bought a hundred of these from another blogger years ago. I like them because they are smaller than the standard size brown lunch bags.

This is my submission for the October swap with the "Paper Pack" (that's the name of the group of local gals that swap monthly.) The theme in October was a "non-traditional" card. I folded the bag in half and made it the main part of the card. I used the stamp set Cup of Friendship from Close to My Heart.

On the inside I attached a tea bag to a piece of matching card stock and slid into the inside of the bag (does that make sense?) It was a fun month - everyone's creations were wonderful!!!! You can see my friend's here. I love it!!!

Veterans Day...

I just want to say "Thank You" to all our Veterans for serving our country. You are all in my thoughts today!

Soldering...

I've tried hard to resist the urge for a long time...you gotta believe me! It got the best of me and I bought a soldering kit yesterday! There are so many amazing soldeirng projects out there - I wanted to try my hand at it too. Okay, so I'm far from being any good at soldering - it's a bit tricky - but it was lots of fun! While I was working on this, my girls were watching over my shoulder trying to see what was going on - they made me quite nervous.

This piece is small only 3/4" x 1". I probably should have started on something larger, but I wanted to use my Stampendous Snail. (I had a hard time getting a good picture, sorry it's so blurry.)

I learned a lot this go round and can't to work on Christmas ornaments. Now I just have to find the perfect image for kids!

I found these yesterday, too! Aren't they cute? Now I just have to figure out a way to use them!!!!

CD Tin

I've had this on my "To Do List" for a long time now. My DH's aunt wanted a copy of some pictures that I took, I decided to give her a CD of them so she could make reprints if she wanted to. That also means that I had to embellish a CD tin for her, right?

This is a pretty simple design - I used four of my most favorite tools/supplies:

*nestabilities - need I say more?

*Copic markers and the airbrush system

*Glitter!

*Spica glitter pens - on the tire

I also used paper from my scrap bin! YAY! I love the Changito Monkey - doesn't he (or maybe it's a she) look like he's always having fun? I think so!

Cupcake Kit

I have been wanting to make a cupcake kit for sometime now. I've seen them on other blogs and on splitcoaststampers and thought they were adorable. A friend has given me some kraft gable boxes that worked perfectly!

I picked up the paper at my local scrapbook store that worked perfect. It had cupcakes and flowers on it in just the right colors! In the box I put a cake mix, cupcake papers, sprinkles, frosting and some decoration "sticks" that I made from the Stampendous Hey There Cupcake stamp set. I think my niece really liked it.

Raspberry Ramblings...

I told my family I wanted to start a blog, but I needed a catchy name. They came up with all sorts of names - some creative, some not. None of names were suitable. So I asked Robin what she thought and she came up with "Raspberry Ramblings"! She said that when she thinks of me, she thinks raspberries! Okay, and I do tend to ramble, a lot!

I love raspberries. I love them in tea, jam/jelly, cakes, salads, you name it! My parents have a wonderful raspberry patch - they are the most perfect berries! I love picking these yummy berries - yes, even in the evening when the bugs are out to get me. Most of all I love to eat them!

So thanks, Robin! I like the name!!!!

Halloween is one of my most favorite holidays! I have lots of fond memories of trick-or-treating as a child. I like to do something special for our neices and nephews and special friends, so I made some treats this year.

I hope that they liked them! In the bags I added an apple with a single serving of peanut butter (and a few sweet treats, too!) I thought it would be fun to give something different this year - maybe a bit healthier, too!

The Beginning.......

I have been persuaded to start a blog! Okay, so she didn't have to twist my arm too hard as I have been thinking of starting one for awhile now! I am not sure which direction it will take, but most likely be a mixing of stamping, scrapbooking and my family! Thanks, Robin! This will be fun!!!!!
