Enjoy the Ride!

I needed some more masculine birthday cards - seems like most of the men in my life have a birthday all at once! So I picked some "manly" paper and went to town! I love this stamp set from Papertrey Ink! It's so versitile - you can use it for baby cards to wedding cards because of the different license plate greetings the stamp set provides. I look forward to creating more with this one!
It's hard to tell in the photo, but I stamped the greeting onto some acetate and stampled it to the card with my Tim Holtz tiny stampler. What a fun tool!!!

Penguin Holiday Surprise!

I made this card for the Paper Pack's Christmas in July challenge. We were supposed to make a Christmas card with non-traditional colors. The stamped image is from Stampendous. I found the pattern for the card on here on Splitcoast Stampers.

Fly Away!

I made this card for my husband's birthday. He is nuts about airplanes, so this was the perfect stamp set for me to own - it will get plenty of use!!! (Isn't that a fun excuse to give your husband while placing a craft order? I thought so!!!)

My Fabulous Friend!!!

These were some "thank you" cards that I made awhile back. This is a fun set to work with - Friends 'Til the End from Papertrey Ink. It's an easy set to work with because it looks good colored or left just outlined.

Look Ma! No Layers!!!!

This was a card I made awhile back for the Paper Pack (our local swap group). Our assignment was to make a card with no layers. I love the fabriano note cards and envelopes - they are just the perfect size and the texture of the paper is to die for!!! I got mine here at Star Lit Studio - a fun online store that I drool over frequently!!!

The stamp that I used is from Stampendous called Dandie Trio. It reminds me of my oldest daughter!! Not sure why, but dandelions do!!! I used my copics and airbrushed the color on the flower and added a little glitter.

Hay, Chick!

I bought some new stamps last week and over the weekend I had a little time to work with them!!! Anna Wright's Crazy for Chickens paired with Cosmo Cricket's Garden Variety Mini deck was a perfect fit!!!! It was a fun card to make - just came together really easily - that doesn't usually happen for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for looking!!!
P.S. I think I've finally gotten my sewing machine to work! There was a needle stuck underneath the pressor foot! No wonder I was breaking so many needles!!!!

Notebooks!

I was lucky enough to receive some of the bounty of my parents and my sister's gardens this year (okay they share with me every year!) As I sat with them at the kichen table listening to the talk of what kind of seeds they bought, how well the garden produced, etc. I thought "Hey, I could make them gardening journals!" So I did!!!
I used the Cosmo Cricket's Garden Variety paper and Stamping Bella's Veggie Bella and Flowah Bella stamps for the covers! A perfect fit for this project!!!

Heart to Heart Card Drive!

This card is for Carolyn King's Heart to Heart blog post. She has organized a huge card drive for those special people that care for alzheimer patients. These caregivers are the most loving, giving people and deserve our sincere "Thank You!" Check out this link for details.
I had fun making this card - the challenge was to use recycled materials. I have seen blog posts on using an old book to make your own flower embellishments - so I bought an old book from Goodwill and made the flowers for this card! It was so much fun!!!
I had also seen this blog post from Michelle Wooderson. I loved how she used a brown paper bag as an envelope! So I cased that idea from her.

Thanks for looking!!!
PS- there is still time to play! Won't you come join the fun?

Celebrate Little Lady!

I've completed another challenge! I haven't used my PTI Little Lady stamp set in a really long time and that is the first stamp set I thought of when I looked at my Flower Soft Colors - Sweet Pea. This is for the Flowersoft and Paper Creations Magazine All Occasion Card Challenge.

I really like how the border turned out! I'm gonna have to remember to do that more often - it really softens up the card! Flower Soft is also perfect for the center of flowers!

Santa Crack...

Robin challenged the "Paper Pack" (our local swap group) to commplete this challenge at Hambo Stamps. Isn't that a fun sketch? I thought so! Here is my version of this sketch:

I used the Hambo digital download called Santa Crack. Wanting to be "loyal" to the sketch, I cut the top layer shorter than the bottom and mounted the sentiment on the bottom layer. And I used up some old supplies I had laying around!!! Yay!!!! So now I'm throwing the challenge down to you - come and play with us!!!!!
Thanks for looking!
PS - Thanks for the idea on the sentiment, Robin!!!!

I made this card with one of my most favorite stamps! It is for a special little girl who is fighting a battle with leukemia right now. I know she loves monkeys - maybe this will make her smile!

At the Fair...

While strolling through the 4-H booths at our county fair, I admired all the entries that were canned goods! Canning is something that I'm just a beginner at so I wouldn't win a blue ribbon at the fair, but I had fun admiring those entries that earned one!

I used the cuttlebug argyle folder to emboss my background.

Peach-Raspberry Jam...

My hubby has been working out of town this summer (home on weekends). He's made some new friends and he wanted something special to thank them for their wonderful hospitality and goodies. So I made some Peach-Raspberry Jam for him to give.
I used Papertrey Ink's Friendship Jar stamp set for the tag. I have to say that it was a breeze to use and so many options available! I love it!!!!

I'm your #1 Fan!

I needed some "boy" cards and Papertrey Ink's All Star Team stamp fit the bill! I used my one-inch punch and "popped" up the baseballs - I love how they turned out!

Munch Love!

These are Valentine's gifts that I made for my neiece's and nephews. The gifts were on time, but the post is late :) :) :)! I bought the popcorn holders on the dollar spot at Target, then filled them with dots and popcorn. I used the Stampin' Up! Treat Yourself stamp set for the tag.

You're as Sweet as Honey!

The assignment for the Paper Pack swap was to decorate the inside of a card. So, this is my version! I used the Papertrey Ink Honey Bees stamp set.

Baby Boy's Baptism

I needed to make a baptism card for my nephew, and ran across this blog.
It was the perfect pattern to make a little baptism outfit! My friend Karen has also made some baby overalls, and they turned out so cute!!!!!

Ollie Moonshine!

I love this Stampendous image! It reminds me of a couple sharing a romantic moment...thus the the reason for this card - for a special anniversary!!!!

I finally convinced myself to use my sewing machine again. I have trouble with the stitching - I cannot get the tension right. Although it's not perfect, it's not too bad. I also used the pearl glimmermist to add a little sparkle.
